Anmerkung

Recorded July 1989 at St. Martin's Church, East Woodhay, Berkshire, was first released on the Virgin Classics label in 1990, winning the 1991 Gramophone Award for a baroque instrumental recording. This recording was re-released on the same label with the same cover in 1999. A 2002 re-release involved a change of catalog number and a different cover. This re-release seems to have some significant differences in track timings, particularly on the first CD in the set, for the most part involving some tracks becoming noticeably longer. The cover picture shown on this page is for the most recent release, as the earlier cover no longer seems to be available on Amazon, except at second hand.
