History
Hereford based folk rock group, Secret Stash have been in existance since 2005 and in that time have built a reputation as a solid, well-crafted and musically talented 5 piece band.
Mick, Andrew and Wiz have been together since 1997, extensively playing the club circuit of the Midlands and mid/South Wales (with two other members, as function bands Millennia and Pleeze). Andy and Will completing the line-up in 2001 and 2005 respectively. They initially got together to form Pink Floyd tribute band 'Wish We Were Them'.
Mick and Wiz were also members of Hereford based rock band 'Jack's Hammer' on drums and vocals respectively. Jack's Hammer split in June 2011. Will was previously a member of Worcestershire based bluegrass trio: 'Joey The Crow'. The other two members of Joey The Crow emigrated to Australia in 2010.
Discography
To date, they’ve recorded a 5 track EP, ‘Sons of the Soil Part 1’, which can be downloaded from their Bandcamp site and are currently recording ‘Part 2’, due for release Winter 2011.
Influences
Their music has been described as a fusion of Celtic, folk, rock and dance. Influences include: The Levellers, The Oyster Band, Fairport Convention, Show of Hands, Kate Rusby, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Ozric Tentacles and Edward Elgar
